A 29er skiff planing at full speed with both sailors on trapeze and spray flying

Own your tracker.

Centimetre RTK race tracking, the kind that runs world championships. In a floating puck every sailor can buy. €199, yours to keep.

600 boats. One gun.
Every call in centimetres.

Each puck knows where the line is and decides on board, at the gun, whether the hull was over. The race committee sees the list seconds later.

One puck. The parts the big systems use.

A dual-band L1+L5 RTK receiver, the same class of receiver inside the systems used at world championships. Sealed, floating, small enough for an Optimist foredeck.

Now for every sailor on the start line, not just the ones at the top of the results.

Buy it once.
Race with it for years.

The puck is yours. Charge it at home, clip it on, race. Club racing on Tuesday, the nationals in July, the same puck.

€199once, plus €5 a month when you race

Works at every club with a VMGline base station. Nothing to hand out or collect at the race office. Pause the service over the winter.

A young Optimist sailor at the start, close to the committee boat, with the fleet packed behind

Run the whole regatta on RTK.

Built for fleets the size of a youth championship. Tracking is the easy part.

The line pings itself

A puck on the committee boat and one on the pin broadcast the line to every boat, live. When the anchor drags, the line moves with it.

The gun calls the start

Each puck decides on board, at 10 Hz against GNSS time, whether any part of the hull was over. The call never waits for a network.

Finishes to the centimetre

Close finishes are recorded as they happen and scored straight into the results. Mark roundings and the zone come from the same data.

600 boats, one screen

Optimist and ILCA regattas start fleets no instrument system has had to handle. The puck and the platform are sized for them.

Compass, gyro and accelerometer. Bow position computed per class.

A full race day on one charge. Magnetic charging.
Housing
Sealed, waterproof, floats. Lanyard loop.

Prototype hardware. Receiver figures are from the RTK receiver specification.

The club plugs in one base station. The fleet gets RTK.

RTK needs a fixed reference nearby. The club owns one, mounts it once, and connects power and internet. Corrections reach every puck on the water.

1

Mount it once

On the clubhouse or the committee boat, within 10 km of the course. No radio licence, no SWEPOS subscription.

2

Sailors bring their pucks

Every puck registered to the event appears on the map. Nothing to hand out or collect.

3

Race, follow, replay

Live for coaches and families ashore. Full replay of every leg after racing.

The VMGline base station mounted on a clubhouse railing above the dinghy slipway

Same precision. Different owner.

The RTK systems used at the top of the sport are rented per day or sold as premium instruments. The puck is the first you can own for the price of a sail.

Questions

Is the precision really the same as the systems used at world championships?

The puck uses a dual-band L1+L5 RTK receiver of the same class as those systems, with corrections from a base station within 10 km. With RTK fix, that gives 1 cm horizontal precision. A good antenna mounted on the foredeck matters as much as the receiver, which is why the puck ships with its own.

What happens if 4G drops during the start?

Nothing changes for the call. Each puck records at 10 Hz with GNSS time and decides on board whether the hull was over. The result is sent when the link returns. A local mesh link is in development for courses with no coverage at all.

Can it run a 600-boat Optimist regatta?

That is what it is designed for. The decision is made on each puck, so the start does not get harder with more boats. The platform shows one fleet on one screen, and the race committee sees the over-early list seconds after the gun.

What does the €5 a month cover?

The tracking service: live map, start and finish calls, replay and your data. You pay in the months you race and can pause it over the winter.

Does my puck work at other clubs?

Yes. The puck is yours. Any club with a VMGline base station can enable it for their event.

When can I buy one?

Pilot clubs race with pucks in the 2027 season. Sailors at pilot clubs get the first units at €199. General sales follow the pilot.

Where is the data stored?

In the EU, on servers run from Sweden. Sailors can export or delete their own data under GDPR.

Put your fleet on the
start line in 2027.

We are looking for dinghy clubs and class associations to run the pilot: a base station at the club, pucks on the boats, real starts at real regattas.

Built in Sweden. Prototypes on the water now.
